We understand that patients might be cautious about seeing the dentist. Our goal is to take all the recommended and necessary measures to guarantee your safety. Receiving dental care shouldn’t mean risking getting a serious infection. There are general measures that our staff and patients will need to follow. Additionally, a rapid antibody test for SARS-CoV2 (COVID-19) detection is available now and authorized by the FDA under an EUA.

General Measures

  • We will call before your visit to ask you a few questions regarding recent travel, COVID-19 symptoms, and recent contact with suspected/confirmed cases. These questions will be repeated when you arrive to your appointment.
  • On arrival, give us a call and remain in your car. We will let you know through call or text when it’s your turn so you can come up to the office.
  • Patients will be asked to use hand sanitizer upon entering the office. There will be hand sanitizer in different areas of the office for your use.
  • To minimize waiting times and allow social distancing, there might be fewer scheduling slots available.

COVID-19 Testing

We’re proud to announce the availability rapid and qualitative IgG and IgM antibody testing for SARS-CoV2 (COVID-19). It’s a capillary finger stick test and the results are available within 10 minutes. This test helps detects antibodies produced by the immune system against COVID-19.

When our immune system is first exposed to a virus, it produces IgM antibodies that could indicate an acute infection. Later on, the immune system produces IgG antibodies against the virus that could indicate immunity and recovery. The relative sensitivity of the test is 96.7% and the relative specificity is 97% meaning the test is accurate.

The test costs $75. If you have a medical insurance card, bring it to the appointment. We’ll take care of the billing for you at Sunrise Dental in Wenatchee, WA.
